Five terms, and what each one moves.
The Incoterm decides where risk and cost change hands. It is agreed in writing before the cargo is booked.
- FOBFree On Board
- We load at the named port. Risk and freight pass to you once the goods are on board.
- CIFCost, Insurance and Freight
- We arrange freight and insurance to the destination port. Risk passes on loading.
- CFRCost and Freight
- We arrange freight to the destination port. Insurance is yours.
- DAPDelivered At Place
- We deliver to the named place. Import clearance and duty are yours.
- DDPDelivered Duty Paid
- We deliver cleared and duty paid. The most we can carry on your behalf.
